Rust Boots are metal-reinforced footwear that fills the foot slot with projectile, melee, cold and radiation resistance, so they add protection without replacing any of your main armour. They are crafted at a Tier 2 workbench from leather and metal fragments, which makes them cheap to replace. Your PRO farms the materials and crafts them on your own server.

Yes. It adds protection without replacing any of your main armour pieces, and it brings cold and radiation resistance with it, so it is a useful addition to the whole kit.
One pair is enough for most players. If you raid or fight often, a spare gives you a backup for when the first pair is worn down.
No. Your PRO uses a Tier 2 workbench on your server, so you do not need to own one yourself.
